The body puts up red flags for years — what we can learn by using RestoreChi to treat a stage 4 cancer case

When some people are diagnosed with cancer, it feels sudden. Looking back, the signs were there all along.
This is the story of one woman's experience with stage 4 metastatic cancer — told with her implicit permission, as someone who knew her journey was being documented. It is also a story about warning signs, about the cancer personality that makes people hard to help, and about what prevention actually looks like before things reach this point.
I am including myself in this story — because I have some of the same warning signs she had. And I am choosing to address them now.
The warning signs that were there for years
For a long time, she had a chronic runny nose. It was dismissed, as a minor inconvenience. Even though, from a TCM and RestoreChi perspective, a constant runny nose is the body trying to discharge chill in the lungs. Chill, left unaddressed, creates the conditions for cancer to take hold. The runny nose was not the problem. It was the body's attempt to solve one.
She also had weakness in her hands and difficulty grasping things. This was attributed to a nerve problem, but it was actually the cancer starting to move into the bone.
When her father died, the grief was immediate and physical. She couldn't lift her head up. Her husband insisted she go to the hospital, and this is when they found stage 4 lung cancer that had spread to the brain, bone, and liver. She couldn't lift her head because the cancer had eaten through a third of the bones in her neck. A rod had to be inserted. The cancer cells had to be surgically cleared.
I have chronic sinus issues and nerve pain too. This is part of why I am writing this article.
What happened next — and what made it possible
She was given a prognosis of a few months.
Years later, she is still alive. The cancer has been cleared from her brain, bone, and liver. A small spot remains in her lungs. This did not happen by accident — and it did not happen through mainstream treatment alone.
What made the difference was a combination of targeted chemotherapy pills and RestoreChi. Before taking her medication, she cleared it by placing it in a RestoreChi bottle — removing the accumulated yin from the drugs before putting them into her body. This reduced side effects and allowed the medication to do what it was designed to do without sending yin directly to the site it was targeting. She used the Water Energy Card consistently for food and drink. She used the Chill Release and Reconnect 5 Organs Specialty tracks. And she worked with Master Yan directly.
Her next step — to prevent relapse
Cancer doesn't just live in the physical body. It lives in the dimension behind it — in the emotional structure that created the conditions for it to grow.
To prevent relapse, the cancer has to be cleared from the bone marrow, the blood, and the stem cells, when these components are high in yang, cancer can't take hold. This is the physical layer — and RestoreChi, particularly the Chill Release track, addresses this by removing the yin environment that cancer requires to survive.
But the background cause — the emotional root — is what makes relapse likely if left unaddressed. Master Yan used to believe that the accumulation of dampness and yin were the primary cause of cancer. He now understands that even when yin and dampness are cleared, cancer returns if the emotional structure driving it remains. Five poisons collect in the dimension behind us. They are the soil that cancer grows in.
This is what the 5 Poisons Specialty Track addresses.
She has only recently (and reluctantly) accepted playing this track. This is not unusual. The pattern of accumulated poisons — greed, hatred, ignorance, arrogance, and doubt — that has been running long enough to create illness — is exactly what makes people resistant to the one tool most likely to prevent recurrence (see more on this below).
Even for a spiritual person — someone who meditates, does inner work, who believes in healing — accepting that the emotional root needs to be addressed can be hard. The 5 Poisons track does not require you to understand or agree with what it is doing. It just needs you to be willing to try.
What this means for prevention
You do not have to wait for a diagnosis.
A chronic runny nose is not just inconvenient. Persistent sinus congestion, nerve pain, hand weakness, difficulty grasping — these are the body communicating, sometimes years before cancer becomes detectable by mainstream imaging.
The Chill Release Specialty Track addresses chill in the sacral chakras, which drives chill in the organs and body, causing a relapse of symptoms, if cleared only with the Monthly Tracks.
The RestoreChi Water Energy Card (+Dampness Release) removes dampness daily through food and drink.
The 5 Poisons Specialty Track addresses the emotional background. Used together — and ideally before things reach a critical point — these tools give the body what it needs to clear what mainstream medicine will not find until it has already left a mark.
I use all of these. Not because I have cancer. Because I recognize the warning signs in my own body and I would rather address the root now than wait to see what it becomes.
The cancer personality — and why the 5 Poisons track is the hardest step
In Taoism, illness arises when we fall out of alignment with the natural flow of life. Master Yan's work reflects this understanding — he is not asking people to become enlightened, he is asking the body to release what is blocking natural function.
The five poisons — greed, hatred, ignorance, arrogance, and doubt — are what block that flow. Greed does not have to mean greed for money. It can mean wanting your child to do what you want, wanting attention, recognition, or control. Hatred includes the anger we hold toward others and toward ourselves. Ignorance is not stupidity — it is the unwillingness to see the truth of a situation. Arrogance is the blindness that prevents us from seeing our own shortcomings. And doubt — the kind that prevents us from trusting that healing is possible, or that we deserve it — is perhaps the most relevant for someone with cancer who has been told their prognosis is months.
These poisons don't make someone a bad person. But they do make someone hard to help. The pattern that accumulated over a lifetime does not dissolve with a diagnosis. It is often what makes people most resistant to the one tool most likely to prevent recurrence — because accepting it requires admitting that the emotional root is real, that it needs to be addressed at the body level not just the mind level, and that what we have been holding has had consequences.
The 5 Poisons Specialty Track does not require you to understand or agree with what it is doing. It just needs you to be willing to try.
For those who carry Soul Contract lesson 20-2, this is not abstract philosophy — it is a specific life curriculum. This lesson is about understanding that trying to resolve the war around us will never bring us peace. It is only by finding peace inside that the war outside can stop. Those who carry this lesson and fail to learn it are at specific risk of developing cancer — because the body eventually expresses what the soul has been trying to communicate. The lesson is to let go of emotional baggage, to release rigidity, and to become flexible, supportive, and protective once more. To be willing to grow, and to travel a long distance in understanding.
I carry this lesson. This is the other reason I am writing this article.
