Always be closing only applies to 9% of the population, and why it is critical to understand your HD

You'll here this a lot: If you are an entrepreneur, you should always have your elevator speech ready, and always be ready to close the deal if anyone shows interest.
Well, this is not really true...

Yes, it is very important to understand:
- what your business is, and
- how to explain it easily to others, both in terms of
- what you do and
- why they might want to hire you, and
- who they might want to refer to you.
But more important than that is: you need to operate in alignment with the energy they are already going to be feeling when they are around you, and you need to use your unique spider-sense to see if they are a good fit for you, or not, as well. All of this is written in your unique Human Design.
Several incidences triggered me to write this article.
The first was someone asking "How do you handle rejection?" in a Facebook group.
The answer to this question is "I don't anymore".
The reason I don't any more, is I know my unique strategies for success.
By Human Design, I am a 1/3 splenic projector. This means I am one of 20% of the population who are here to guide others. In addition, I have a very solid foundation behind the work that I do, and I am like a human lie detector, I see through everything.
THIS is intense! THIS means that people already know I can see through them, they really don't need me putting any additional pressure on them with my words.
So... I don't use my words, I don't try to sell myself, I simply work on my craft.
When people ask me what I do, as it happened this weekend (this was the second trigger for this article), I start with something small to see if they really want to know.
So, when someone said "Do you work?", I said "Yes, I run my own business." STOP.
Then they say "Doing what?". And I say: "Its complicated, so I will say it slowly. I am a Family Dynamics ... and Life Purpose ... Specialist".
To this they responded: "Don't you home-school your son?".
And now I know, they don't care what I do, nor are they ready to hear about it, so I drop it and switch gears to friendly chatter: "Yes, I did un-school him for a couple months last year..."
Its that easy!
Projectors can not go around wasting their energy promoting themselves, because quite frankly, no one wants to hear guidance from a Projector unless they ask for it!
A Projector's role is merely to get good at what they do and wait to be recognized and invited. We have very little energy and pour our heart and soul into supporting others.
Ever heard the saying "They won't buy the cow if you give the milk away for free"?
So true, in this case.
So, what of the 9% who should "always be closing"?

These are the Manifestors, and, actually, only the Manifestors who are operating correctly.
I was raised by a Manifestor and I meet many of them. I can feel their pressure coming a mile away. Yes, they can push, and yes, most people will get out of the way and allow, and its awesome to have a Manifestor part the seas for you to come in and deliver your gifts.
But a Manifestor who does not understand that their role is to "initiate and leave it to others to do the work", one who has simply learned to push and push and push to get their way, well, I don't fall for that anymore, even though I feel their power and ability to do so.
This is just as unhealthy as a Projector trying to push.
This leaves 70% and a small 0.4% of the population who are not Projectors or Manifestors. The Generators and the Reflectors, respectively.
The Generators are the only ones that the vision boards that we see so often will work for, because they are magnets, who will attract to them whatever they want. But, if they try to push, they will only get frustrated and angry, because they will never be able to push open a closed door. They must ask for an open door to appear, and then check with their unique spider-sense whether it is the right door for them to go through.

The Reflectors are reporters of the world around them. They are always reflecting, with their health or their chattiness, the state of the people around them. They can be super useful, if used correctly. But they can't push their own agenda, or they will be rejected, and that hurts!
So, before you decide to "always be closing" or to "put yourself out there for potential rejection" maybe check first, to see who you are on an energetic / Human Design level.
This will be one of the greatest gifts of Love that you can ever offer yourself!
Your energy does so much talking, that you really don't need to open your mouth most of the time, and the energy of others is also talking to you.
Isn't it time you understood what you are saying to others energetically and that you learned to read what is and is not a good fit for you?
Sounds like a necessary self-care skill that we should all be aware of to me!
